Sculpture – Ferrari 312P

The Ferrari 312P was introduced in 1969 in response to the new Group-6 Sportcar regulations. His performance was mixed, but started well with a pole position and second place during his debut at Sebring with Mario Andretti. During the Le Mans tests it quickly became clear that the initial open design was not sufficient to withstand the Porsche 917s on the straights of the Mulsanne straight. That is why the coupe version was soon released, which, in addition to speed gain, also provided a dazzling design. Victories were achieved in Sebring and Daytona, but their superiority was recognized in the Porsche 917 at LeMans. The French artist Stephane Dufour has found a very idiosyncratic way to immortalize iconic models. It starts with making the basic design, which is completely made of clay. The small series that is made of each design is made from a colored casting resin, which takes the right shape through a mold. After curing, the product is carefully sanded to obtain a completely smooth surface.

The designs are unique in its kind and have a strong premium look, ideal for a study room or office.

This Ferrari 312P Sculpture is one of his latest creations.
